To collect and send your faecal samples, please follow these steps:
Collect Samples: Place two balls of manure into a sealable plastic bag. Ideally, take one ball from each of two different manure piles, spaced at least 12 -24 hours apart.
Label the Sample: Clearly label the sample with the animal's name, age, and any relevant information, including the latest deworming history or any symptoms.
Prepare for Transport: When ready for transportation, place the sealed sample into a cooler or container with ice packs. Wrap the ice packs in newspaper or bubble wrap to prevent direct contact with the sample.
Storage: If you're not able to send the sample immediately, it can be stored in a refrigerator. However, do not allow the sample to become too hot or freeze, as this will render it unsuitable for testing.
By following these guidelines, you ensure the sample remains viable for accurate testing.
Here are the steps to submit your sample to Parasite Solutions:
Contact Parasite Solutions: Reach out to Parasite Solutions to confirm how you would like to send your sample to the lab. You can contact us through our booking form above, the "Get in Touch" form, WhatsApp, email, or by giving us a call. While a notice period of 24 hours or more is appreciated, we understand that urgent cases may arise and will do our best to accommodate them.
Choose Your Preferred Shipping Option: The following options are available:
The Courier Guy: The delivery cost will be charged to the client.
Client Drop-off at the Lab: You can bring the sample directly to the lab.
Client Drop-off at a Preferred Drop-off Point: See below the drop off points made available to you.
Lab Collection from Client: If you have 15 or more samples, or for a cost of R100 (within a 5 km radius), the lab can collect the sample from your location.
Payment and Invoice: An invoice will be sent to you once samples have been received. Results will only be released once payment has been made, and proof of payment (POP) is provided.
Veterinary Practices: For veterinary practices, invoices will be issued, and payment will be processed accordingly.
Following these steps ensures your sample is submitted and processed smoothly.
